Fast, Affordable Brush Chipping for Cleaner, Safer Properties

4th Generation Tree provides efficient brush chipping and wood chipping services throughout San Luis Obispo County, including San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, Atascadero, Morro Bay, Nipomo, Templeton, Cambria, Arroyo Grande, and surrounding communities. Using commercial-grade chippers, our experienced crews process branches, limbs, brush, storm debris, and vegetation directly on-site, helping property owners reduce cleanup costs, improve fire safety, and convert green waste into reusable mulch for erosion control, moisture retention, and landscape improvement.

Benefits of Professional Brush Chipping

Fast Property Cleanup

Commercial-grade chippers allow our crews to process large amounts of brush and tree debris quickly, leaving properties cleaner and easier to maintain.

Wildfire Risk Reduction

Removing dry vegetation, dead branches, and accumulated brush helps reduce combustible fuels and supports safer defensible space around homes and structures.

Cost-Effective Debris Management

On-site chipping can reduce the time, labor, and expense associated with hauling bulky vegetation to landfills or green waste facilities.

Sustainable Material Reuse

Wood chips can be reused as natural mulch for moisture retention, weed suppression, erosion control, soil improvement, and landscape restoration.

What drives the price

01

Access

Can a chipper and a grapple truck get within reach of the trunk, or is everything coming out through a 36-inch gate by hand? This is the single biggest variable.

02

Drop zone

Open ground under the canopy means we can fell and buck. A pool, a patio or a neighbour's roof underneath means rigging or a crane, and the day gets longer.

03

Size, species and condition

Green oak weighs far more than dry pine of the same diameter, and a decayed trunk can't be climbed — both change the method before they change the price.

04

Stump and debris

Grinding is quoted with the removal. Say the word and we leave the rounds bucked for firewood, or chip everything and haul it out.

HOW IT COMES DOWN

Climbed, rigged or picked by crane

The method is decided on site by the arborist, not sold to you in advance. A tree in the open gets felled. A tree over a roof gets rigged down piece by piece, or lifted out whole by crane when that is faster and safer for the structure underneath.

Wood Chipping questions

What types of material can you process with brush chipping?

We can process many types of tree and landscape debris, including branches, limbs, shrubs, overgrown brush, storm debris, vegetation from land clearing, and certain larger wood sections depending on their size and condition.

Yes. Property owners can keep the resulting wood chips for use as mulch, erosion control, moisture retention, weed suppression, or other landscaping applications, or we can arrange to remove them.

Yes. Brush chipping helps remove dry vegetation, deadwood, and excess fuels that can contribute to wildfire spread, making it a useful part of defensible-space and vegetation-management planning.

In many cases, yes. Processing vegetation directly on-site can reduce hauling, disposal, and labor costs compared with transporting large volumes of brush to green waste or landfill facilities.

Brush chipping is commonly scheduled after tree trimming, storm cleanup, land clearing, seasonal property maintenance, vegetation management, or fire hazard reduction projects when large amounts of branches and brush need to be processed efficiently.

What clients say

★★★★★

I love working with local family owned businesses, and they exceeded expectations! Hard working crew, especially Jeferson the lead, he was extremely knowledgeable on pruning our oaks. We’re on almost three acres, and our views have never been better.

Morgan and his team at 4th Generation Tree were a HUGE help to us. They were easy to work with, flexible, and very accommodating as we worked through several tree removal and trimming needs across our church property. Their work improved both the safety and appearance of our grounds. I highly recommend!!!

Garrett Kruse

★★★★★

Casey, Morgan, and their crew at 4th Generation did a great job trimming our Oak trees, removing three big pines and grinding the stumps. It was a big job and they managed it perfectly! They have been trimming our oak trees for years and we are always happy with the results! Thanks again!
